Project: Exploring the microphysics of amphibole deformation by characterising samples deformed in the lab (nanoindentation, Griggs, and deformation-DIA) and in nature (the West Troms Basement Complex, Northern Norway).

Project: Understanding stress partitioning in polyphase aggregates by experimentally deforming different combinations of olivine and pyroxene to more accurately constrain the strength of natural samples.

Project: Examining the direct microstructural mechanisms enabling phyllosilicate deformation through high-strain, high-temperature biotite deformation experiments. Future work is intended to compare the findings of such experiments to natural settings of deformation (faults, shear zones).
